Este curso pretende proporcionar una visión general de la literatura española desde la Edad Media al Barroco, enmarcándola en su contexto histórico y cultural. Para ello se prestará especial atención a conceptos amplios, tales como épocas, tendencias intelectuales y literarias, géneros, etc. Al mismo tiempo se estudiarán específicamente algunos autores y obras individuales como medio de ilustrar dichos conceptos y de profundizar en la práctica del análisis literario.

Prerrequisitos: El estudiante debe tener un nivel avanzado de español.

Course Description (3 credits): This course aims to provide an overview of Spanish literature from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period, situating it within its historical and cultural context. To this end, special attention will be paid to broad concepts such as eras, intellectual and literary trends, genres, and the like. At the same time, specific authors and individual works will be studied to illustrate these concepts and to deepen the practice of literary analysis.
