Grace, Peace & Healing. These three words kept coming to my mind during my time living and learning on the East Coast. Truly, this embodied, holistic learning experience changed my life. By His grace, God brought me to Baltimore for a reason and a unique purpose. He gave me peace, inviting me into a season of letting go. He gave me healing through living in a loving community and serving in urban ministry. He has shown me His love in a new light. 

Jinamai Joseph is a student at Southeastern University studying Accounting with a minor in Data Analytics and Information Systems. For eight weeks, Jinamai got to live in a neighborhood of Rome called Pigneto and intern with People's University of Torpignattara. In her role, she focused on marketing the Torpignattara neighborhood, encouraging visitors and tourists to experience more than just the recognizable Centro Storico (historic downtown of Rome) and dive deeper into the rich culture that exists throughout the city in areas like Torpignattara.

This past May, our Baltimore Urban Studies program hosted its first summer program. And let me tell you, it was awesome. We had students from Southeastern University and Westmont College join us for three weeks of learning by interacting and participating at twelve different agencies, churches, and medical non-profits.
