Living & Learning International (L&LI) is pleased to announce a new opportunity for students seeking to study abroad in England: the Living & Learning London Study Center. The Study Center creates the opportunity for students to engage in rigorous academics, have inter-cultural connections, and live in Christian community while growing in their faith. This program is specifically designed for students who are eager to experience the depth of cross-cultural experiences in a dynamic global city.
The Program Model
The program is designed in line with the model of all Living & Learning Programs: an independent Study Center offering space for student life, course instruction, and community building. Courses will feature engaging and geographically relevant content taught by professors selected by L&LI and accredited by Biola University.
Academics & Courses
Fall 2027 academic courses include The People of London: History, Culture, Art, Cross-Cultural Leadership & Management, Spiritual Formation and Transformation, Survey of British History, Lewis, Tolkien, and the Inklings: Myth, Faith, and Fiction in Modern Britain, and more. This allows students to complete 12-18 credits with transcripts provided by Biola University.
Classes will be held at our Study Center, providing ease of access for students to live and learn in one place and explore the neighborhood and nearby city center. Students can connect with one another, enjoy museums, theater productions, unique shops, and global cuisine. With proximity and connections to nearby churches, students also have the opportunity to worship with local believers. Students are encouraged to participate in community activities, for example, by joining a gym, attending sports and fine arts events, browsing renowned museums, and, of course, exploring more of England, the United Kingdom, and Europe during integrated travel breaks.
A Unique Opportunity for Students at Christian Universities & Colleges
The L&LI Study Center is a distinct L&LI offering for Christian college students seeking to study abroad in England. We are also committed to preserving our values and upholding the key pillars of our mission to ensure that students have immersive cultural experiences with support and discipleship.
