Introducing: The English Courses Track at L&LI Spain
Living & Learning International (L&LI) is pleased to announce a new opportunity for students seeking to study abroad in Spain: an English-language companion program to our flagship Spanish Immersion program in Sevilla.
The English Courses track creates the opportunity for students to engage in rigorous academics and site visits, have intercultural connections, and live in Christian community while building beginning Spanish language skills. This program is specifically designed for students who are eager to experience the depth of Spanish culture and history, yet are not pursuing a full language immersion experience.
The New Courses
The courses feature engaging and well-established content from the historic Semester in Spain catalog, delivered in English. Spring 2027 academic courses include History of Spanish Art, Modern Spanish Culture, Worldview and Global Religions, Spanish Gastronomy, a Spanish Language course at the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced proficiency level, among other English Course options.
Students enrolled in the English Courses track can also enroll in Intro to Sevillanas Dance and Service Learning. This allows students to complete 12-18 credits transcripted by Biola University.

Cross Cultural Experiences
Interculturally, students will attend classes provided in English by Spaniard faculty. Classes are held at our school building in the pedestrian-friendly Seville city center, adjacent to historic plazas, intriguing cafes, and World Heritage Sites that tell the story of the cultures represented in modern and historical Spain.
Students can connect with a local language exchange partner and worship with local believers. Students are encouraged to participate in community activities, for example, by joining a gym or ceramics class, attending sports and fine arts events, browsing renowned museums, and of course, enjoying the local cuisine.
Student and Spiritual Life
Life in Christian community involves a full-semester homestay with a local Spanish family, community worship, and mentorship from spiritual life staff.
The English Courses track is a distinct L&LI offering in Spain providing most of its programming in English. We are also committed to preserving our flagship immersion experience valued for decades by Spanish departments at our partner colleges and universities.
As such, L&LI has arranged the entire Spain program and its academic tracks, the Spanish Immersion track and the English Courses track, with distinct schedules and programming to minimize language overlap while still promoting cohort unity and experiential learning. .
