The position is full-time, in person in Quito, Ecuador
Supervise L&LI Apartments and Student Life
Provide an example of a Christ follower to every student in the L&LI program: by behavior, actions and words
Live in the apartment alongside students
Maintain awareness of semester calendar & schedule, and communicate to students both in-person and via email/social media about activities and events
Maintain attention to the property, including but not limited to paying bills, keeping receipts, reporting maintenance needs to the admin assistant, completing an apartment inventory, and maintaining overall cleanliness, health, & comfort of the apartment
Complete check-in & check-out processes accordingly, as well as incident reports
Act as the point person for all student questions related to health concerns, questions, and/or issues
Maintain student health and respond to health concerns, vaccination, and clinic needs, alongside the Director of Student Life
Budget and account for all funds given for discipleship meetings, and provide a financial report to the in-country director at the end of the month
Attend L&LI & YW staff meetings weekly and monthly
Stock and maintain prevention measures and supplies for potential health issues in apartments (first-aid kits)
Complete 4-6 office hours per week through assigned department role
Disciple Students
Live out a dynamic and contagious walk with Jesus among LLI students.
Be an incarnational, available and approachable example to students
Mediate challenges and conflicts among students, in collaboration with the Director of Student Life
Uphold and encourage students’ behavior, words & actions
Respond directly to issues, concerns, rumors, and/or actions that violate or could lead to violation of the Living Above Reproach (LAR) contract
Report any violations to the director of student life within 24 hours of any incident
Be available and approachable to students
Plan and lead bi-weekly discipleship meetings with every student living in the apartment
Assist students in understanding the application of all they are learning
Advocate for professors, including the Director of Education
Budget and account for all funds given for discipleship meetings, and provide a financial report to the in-country director at the end of the month
Lead Student Activities
Aid in the planning of activities, marketing activities, lead and/or participate in all student activities; provide educational, cultural, and social weekend and weekly activities for students, including communication.
Program Videographer Role
Position Overview
This role will involve capturing and editing high-quality video content showcasing student life, excursions, community member spotlights, and promotional videos. In addition to video production, the videographer will play a key role in creating and managing social media content, as well as delegating social media tasks to students. The position requires adaptability, technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Filming & Editing: Capture engaging footage of students, faculty, and community members during everyday activities, excursions, and special events. Edit video content for various purposes, including student life highlights, promotional materials, and community spotlights.
Social Media Content Creation: Create and upload social media content based on the strategy and deliverables provided at the beginning of the semester in line with the program's marketing goals to highlight student experiences, program activities, and excursions.
Delegation of Social Media Tasks: Work with L&LI's marketing manager to execute social media deliverables and to connect with student media creators.
Revisions & Feedback: Work collaboratively with the video department to incorporate feedback and make revisions to videos as necessary before publishing.
Archiving Footage: Upload, organize, and maintain an online archive of footage to ensure easy access for future promotional materials.
Collaboration: Coordinate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure all video and social media content supports the program’s vision, values, and goals.
Flexibility: Adapt to changing schedules and filming environments, including excursions, while ensuring the quality and timeliness of all content.
Camera Equipment: Own and use your personal camera equipment (DSLR or mirrorless camera) for filming.
Training & Meetings: Attend a pre-semester videography training and virtual check-in meetings with the videography department and manager during the semester.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras (Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, etc.).
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs (e.g., Photoshop, After Effects) is a plus.
Strong skills in social media management and content creation, including experience creating posts, videos, and graphics for platforms like Instagram.
Experience working with video and audio, including sound design, audio mixing, color correction, and graphic work.
Ability to delegate social media tasks to students, guide their creative process, and ensure that content aligns with the program’s voice and mission.
Strong organizational skills for managing video footage and social media content.
Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback to refine content and improve outcomes.
Experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience working in educational or faith-based settings is a plus. A personal relationship with Jesus is a must.
A passion for storytelling and creating meaningful content that aligns with a faith-based mission.
Ability to travel and work on excursions with students and faculty.
