Cáphê 

CÀPHÊ is a cozy café in Quito, inspired by the design of Australian coffee shops and inspired in nature, with plants as a central element. Liz Serrano Studio 

Liz Serrano Photography Studio is dedicated to creating an emotional experience both during the photo session and when viewing the final images, reflecting their passion, care, and love for God. The owner discovered her gift for capturing the growth of babies with the birth of her third daughter. The studio offers specialized sessions including maternity and newborn, babies, cake smash, children, families, and professional portraits.

HCJB 

HCJB is a Christian multimedia ministry that has been sharing the message of the Gospel from Ecuador to the Spanish-speaking world since 1931. Pan de Vida 

Pan de Vida is a U.S.-based, gospel-centered nonprofit and volunteer-driven mercy ministry serving vulnerable children and families in Ecuador. Its mission is to share the message of Jesus Christ while providing hunger relief, education, healthcare, shelter, microbusiness support, and emergency aid. The vision is to help people in need build a personal relationship with Christ and fully develop their God-given potential. Core values include faith, integrity, relationship, and service, all guided by Christian principles and a heart for those in crisis.

Light in the Darkness

Provides social support to vulnerable children and adolescents. It was founded by Dan and Gina Weston in 2018 to prevent human trafficking and promote child well-being. The foundation currently serves 50 beneficiaries, with a goal of reaching 200 through educational and community programs. Missionaries from the U.S. visit annually to evaluate and support the project financially. Their work is inspired by the desire to share the love of Jesus Christ in a world filled with darkness.

Internship Description

The student will be expected to demonstrate the love of Christ and assist the foundation in many different manners. (For ex. Playing games with kids or helping with English class)

Fundación Contigo 

Fundación Contigo, active since 2015 in Ecuador, works to improve the quality of life for at-risk children and those without family care. Its mission is centered on intervention, prevention, and special projects, driven by the love of Christ. They conduct monthly visits to orphanages in Quito and other cities, addressing medical, spiritual, educational, and nutritional needs. Through community centers in Quito and Guayaquil, they support over 380 children and their families with meals, Bible lessons, and family workshops. Special projects include dental and vision care, counseling, home construction, and distribution of school supplies. Their focus is on restoring families and preventing child institutionalization.

1. Camp Hope

Camp Hope is a Christian foundation that provides healthcare, rehabilitation, special education, recreation, employment, and spiritual discipleship to individuals with severe disabilities and limited financial resources. Its mission is to promote the independence and social integration of children, youth, and adults with disabilities. The vision includes well-developed pilot programs, trained staff, and economic stability. The foundation's goal is the holistic development of beneficiaries by involving their families and communities.

Job Description

Activities might include feeding babies, playing with them, assisting with their therapy, and giving them a warm and loving environment where they can learn about life in order to be reintegrated to society when adopted. 

1. Casa Mis Sueños 

Casa Mis Sueños is a non-profit in Ecuador focused on releasing supernatural justice, mercy, and love through the power of Jesus. Since 2006, under the cover of Jennifer and Jonatan Toledo, the team has ministered to street children, those in prostitution, special needs kids, youth in prisons, and the poor. They also engage with government leaders and host large church gatherings. Their mission is to reveal God’s glory and love across all levels of society. The team is driven by a mandate to bring justice, defined as the restoration of every violation of love. They believe the world is owed an encounter with God.

Job Description

Interns will be helping in different areas at the Casa mis Sueños Foundation: 

• Help in structuring a new small business 

• Help with entrepreneurship

• Help prepare breakfast, snacks and lunches for the beneficiary girls and their babies. (Home Visits)

• Arrange donations

• Help with the cleaning and order of the house

• Participate in special activities such as holidays, birthdays, etc.

1. Clínica Carapungo

A Christian medical center located in the north of Quito. It serves over 100 patients daily, offering comprehensive care focused on physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Its team of 12 doctors provides high-quality medical attention guided by the principle: “Whatever you do, do it with love.” Through their work, they reflect God’s love to every patient. The clinic will provide opportunities to hands-on clinical practice in basics. 

Job Description

• The Nurses Station, where they will work reception, work with Patient Records, assist with the taking of patient vitals, and collecting samples for the lab

• The Laboratory, where they will assist with the processing of patient samples, learn how to use different lab equipment and run a variety of tests

• The Orthodontist, where they will assist with patient examinations, and help sanitize the work space/tools

• Physical Therapy, where students will assist the PT with different therapies, including hydrotherapy
